Who is Shana Levenson?
Shana Levenson is a representational painter based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She studied Fashion Design at UT Austin and later earned an MFA in Fine Art Painting from the Academy of Art University. Her work focuses on portraiture, often depicting people from her life with an emphasis on authentic storytelling. Known for her hyperrealistic style, Levenson highlights delicate, feminine details like lace and jewelry, influenced by her fashion background, while also incorporating subtle surreal elements that celebrate women’s strength and beauty. In addition to painting, she teaches and mentors artists through workshops locally and internationally. Her work has been exhibited across the U.S. and abroad, including galleries in New York, Seattle, Santa Fe, and Denver.
