The Studio Sale
This is an ongoing series outlining the Five Steps to A Successful Studio Sale Utilizing Instagram and Email. If you’re just joining us, please read the following articles first:
Part 1: Introduction
Part 2: Get Active In Your Niche
Part 3: Connect and Collect
Part 4: Segment Your List and Award The Prizes
Let’s dive in!
After having laid that really strong foundation using the steps outlined in the previous articles, you're now ready to sell your work.
There are three things that determine the success of your studio sale:
1. How dedicated you have been at following the previous steps.
2. How much artwork you have available for sale
3. How many emails you've collected in the previous months
Preparation
Before you announce your studio sale on your Instagram, make sure that you have the sale up and running on your website without having announced it. Each piece should be clearly priced and marked as available (or sold as they start selling). If you use FASO for your website, you’ll also have great collector-grade zooms, multiple images (if you have them), and a view in room feature. FASO even has an augmented reality feature so that collectors can “preview” the piece in their own home. And most importantly, if you use FASO, you can enable Art Prints on Demand on the particular works in the sale - and that lets you sell each piece an unlimited number of times as a print. FASO even shares a bit of the profit on any frames ordered on demand with you.
