It’s time to delight your fans and collectors and choose the award winners.
The first thing you’re going to do is segment your list into three groups to help you decide how to best handle the awards.
a) Segment your list
For each person who signs up, you’re going to do a little snooping. First look them up on Instagram. If their profile is public, you might be able to see if they’re married, or if they’re a homeowner. You might get clues as to if they have expendable income or not. You can also look them up on Facebook and Twitter. Hopefully, you’ll discover that they’re an art enthusiast.
This is why we recommend that you perform STEP 2, CONNECT AND COLLECT for at least six months. You need to give the process enough time for you to build up a list of qualified, potential collectors of your artwork. And that, being realistic, takes time. If you want to break the segmenting work up over time, you can also do the segmenting back in step two by doing your snooping each day or week as your email registrations come in.
