That's a great quote by Sivers. Nobody can take your mastery away! Love the Steve Martin quote, too. My experience is that, as things become more and more second nature, I don't have to think. And that's when I can truly paint.

Painting or playing music " become more and more second nature " You don't have to think ? How about composing a painting or music ? Painting may be easy, composing it is the difficult part .

Here's a link to my collection, "Denise's Shoes: an artist's search for Justice." I'll put it here in response to your call for art even though I doubt you are calling for this genre. At any rate, please give some thought to creating a category for pieces from the heart and soul that are not lovely portraits or wonderful landscapes. Perhaps, think about whether you would permit "Guernica" if an artist named Pablo replied to your call. Love to hear your thoughts. The link: https://designrr.page/?id=319246&token=1640095784&h=3496

I try to read all the wonderful insights that are offered by you and other artists as I always find a point or two that resonates and I can applicate in my work. We always strive to improve and will never do so if we stop learning from others. Thank you for the insights you continue to share. I must say though that layout of these emails leaves me a little perplexed as to where my comments should actually be placed to get to the right author. I’m so old school and it shows, sry.

Yes! Creativity does speak. And when we shut off the news and the games, and get into the studio and get still and listen, we can hear it. Here’s one of my recent works, which was displayed at the Triton Art Museum:
