One of the most insightful tellings of a truth of which I have been aware for years. Jack White used to sell paintings on eBay using not only a pseudonym but a pseudo-narrative, a wealthy bachelor painter, and claimed to have success although he admitted that it takes time on that venue to build your audience. If I remember correctly he said he received more than one marriage proposal! But this article expands on the reasons why context matters, not just that it does matter. Thank you, Clint. I've been hiding behind a facade of professionalism for years, even though I have a sense of humor that I can't deny. Going forward I am going to be more aware of simply sharing my life as I share my paintings.

What a beautiful, encouraging, and pragmatic expression of your thoughts and feelings about telling my story as it relates to the value of my art. Blessings on you! I FEEL our heart's connection. You have added value to my life!

This is SO true. Thank you. This would make a great discussion in the high school art classes I used to teach. I will be contemplating this for days!!

Wow! It is uplifting to find how wholly spaces in logic and meaning are filled and comforted and bring discourse of seeing. Stories enhance true seeing.

the context point is a good and valid one.

Actually your point goes well beyond art as it were.
