We don't have a preorder page yet but you can join the waitlist here: https://thesovereignartist.substack.com/p/join-the-waitlist

The book went to an editor last week so I'm hoping to finish the editing over the summer and then gear up for a release in the fall.

I always love the excerpts from your Sovereign Artist archive. I also really enjoy the benefits of having a website with Faso! Thanks for sharing this with us Clint!

I've been painting with my grandkids (7&4) these past two weeks. They brought me back to a more imaginative place both with their paintings and imaginative stories. Last week the 4 year old asked to take her to the art museum and she selected the contemporary room for where she wanted to sketch. Today I painted in plein air with the 7 year old , who completed 5 watercolors and wanted to know why I could only do one and the same time. Treasured moments that have opened my eyes in different ways. My water bottle also Clanks!

This reminds me of a story of a kid who asks a man what he does for a living and he said, "I teach art. I teach people how to draw." And the kid replies, "You mean you forget how?"

That painting of the child at the table was me, always painting at our dining room table when I had the chance. Just like this painting, I was young!! At the age of 7 I remember the first grade teacher coming to our door and having a conversation with my second grade teacher while looking at all of the paintings our class had done pinned to the wall, she zeroed in, and as I was only in the third row back I could hear their conversation, and the first grade teacher said to my second grade teacher while pointing to my painting, “look at how she got the curve here on the back leg so accurate”. I got lost in painting always so relaxed and happy, maybe I need to relax again and just let it flow, whatever comes out, it comes with happiness.
