Thanks for all your great insights, Clint. I am learning that sometimes sitting and "doing nothing" other than observing, hearing and absorbing, can be my most important task of the day. I am reminded of the quote by Pico Iyer: "In an age of movement, nothing is more critical than stillness." That's where the magic happens.
Pushing back against AI and pondering what is ‘mastery’ helps me to feel good about my craft. Thank you, we need more of this to boost the artists out there struggling against this new wave. There is a place for all but educating the public on the difference between AI and ‘ from scratch’ art is crucial. Enjoyed your article
I met this tree character while on a backpack trek. I love the expressiveness of the primary face and how it appears to be cupping something in its mitts. So I had to make its portrait!
Wow! I don't get to read writing of this caliber of thought often--- This commentary is brilliantly written and expressed. My hat is so off to Eugene Terekhin! Thank you Eugene for this very bright, true, insightful, and wise offering! Thank you SO VERY much!! Truly! -Marjo Wilson
Thank you for creating a platform that gives artists a place to share and showcase their work. I especially appreciate how easy your website tools are for non-tech artists. I’m a founding member of ArtTrends Gallery on Saint Simons Island, GA, which has been open for 10 years. Even with that experience, I still find myself learning and at times puzzled by the art of selling—both my own work and others’. I’m always eager for new insights. You can see my work at ellacartart.com.
Interesting thoughts Clint, Being still is something which allows us to observe nature and the way light works. I remember having a huge breakthrough in my painting when I learned to be still and really study light effects in nature. I realised that learning to paint was learning to see, in a way. here is a link to recently completed painting ..https://www.vickisullivan.com/workszoom/6194852/the-promise

Thanks, Liz! It’s something I have been struggling with.
With the world in turmoil, I keep thinking of the children growing up in this situation and I am concerned for their future. This is a painting of my grandaughter Hettie, In Transit with Teddy. https://www.vickisullivan.com/workszoom/5801073/in-transit-with-teddy#/
So beautiful!
Thanks so much
I had an interesting experience when I copied one of my own paintings. I explain it in my blog; https://www.sandrahildreth.com/blog/202359/seeing-double

Thanks for always wanting to promote real art, and a push back against AI generated images, which I won't call "art". Here is one of my oils done this year. A Song In Her Heart. Barry DeBaun. https://www.barrydebaun.com/workszoom/5945863/a-song-in-her-heart#/
Spirit-filled art. Her silky dress is like a flower.
Thank you so much Eugene!

Thank you!
Thanks for ending the use of AI images in these newsletters.
Here's a piece I'm happy with. An allegory of humanity waking up to the wider universe we live in.

We love your work Rob! Did you receive the email I sent you last week about this piece? https://www.robreyfineart.com/workszoom/2824345/gravitational-waves#/
Thank you! No, I can't seem to find that email, but I would be happy to have that piece featured as well.
It’s about more than that, actually. I just resent it with the subject line, “Resend of email from Clint at BoldBrush”
Wonderful article, Eugene! Thank you for the insight :)

Patience, silence, stillness...perceptive and aware meditation, let Being enter.
