Venue. Eg: an expensive piece most likely won't sell in a library show but will in a gallery.

The criteria you mentioned are good ones but I would add distance from your home or studio. I find the old saying “ No one is a prophet in his own country “ I like to strike a balance between local shows and ones at least an hour away. It’s good to be known locally but I sell more when I show out of my own little universe. Of course local is easier and saves shipping but there’s a novelty factor away from home.

I just had that experience last month, where I added a bunch of accolades to my resume with out of state shows, and fell short in a few local ones. You never know where your collectors reside till you put your art in front of them. Have a beautiful and artful day!
