Really felt the dialogue around 57:00. I have always considered myself to have a little talent and have always been waiting for the right moment in my life to have the time to “bust out”, and the past two years I have had that time. Having the time now, I have struggled finding the motivation to really begin and keep going. I have though, been enjoying the freedom to enjoy life. Reading tons of books I have always wanted to read, having all the time I could want with my son, gardening, spending time outdoors, etc. I had kind of an ah ha moment while listening and makes me ask. Is it the freedom I want, or the freedom to be a working artist? I would like to think it is the latter, and still feel the artist within me, but something has been holding me back from taking advantage of this time in that way. Thanks so for this fantastic interview! Always a wonder to peer inside the mind of a fellow creative

Hi Gary, I can relate to your comment. I have a kind of similar situation. I found I am not a disciplined person so it requires me to apply myself. That is indeed a task for some like myself even though when I'm doing the painting or writing the time flies.

Enjoyed this very much. Brings the life of an artist to a very ground floor level from that "high" society mentality. And also to the practical side of driving your own business rather than being driven by the industry or market place. Making use of the freedom this path affords. His website has stunning images. I particularly like the variety of subject matter. That's also unique -- to find each subject in one place. Tnx!
