Clint, love this and so inspirational! As an artist(painter) it is always exciting for that idea that God has give and put it on canvas. Catching a moment in time and its beauty so others can have that enjoyment and see Gods creations! Thanks for giving us such a wonderful platform to share our creations.

Profoundly mystically written. My first DUET: Visual & Verbal titled:, DUET: THE MADONNA, speaks of the light... without which & whom nothing exists. So easy not to see. I find myself in blindness. The blindness causes me to begin trying to "see" again. I am & have been quite ill lately.... a gift, an invitation into deep contemplation. Thank you dear friend for your words. Lynn

Thank you Clint for sharing about this important aspect of creating. It brings so much purpose when you know God works through us to bless others and bring such meaning to why we feel the need to create. Thank you so much for sharing!

The connection to spirit/ inspiration flows through us if we let ourselves flow with our work. Connection of soul to the divine, truth to our work and ourselves.

Thank you for articulating and reminding us of the importance in our work… we are all connected.

Clint, I think this is the BEST article that I have ever read by you. It describes me and how I feel about my art. Thank you for writing and sharing this. I think it describes all artists whether they be designers & builders of buildings, poets, or whatever, & why we have such a passion for what we do. Thank you for sharing this.

Clint, I send your article to a special friend of mine who writes poetry. Here is Mike's reply to me, "Thanks for sharing these powerful words and insights. The spirit of creating comes out in art, music, dance and writing from that hidden spiritual place to be in the world. I’m moved by his observations."

This so wonderfully explains why we are compelled to create. Not just create art but to make buildings, clothing, gardens etc. that aren't just functional and purposeful. It's like our urge to create is a reminder of creation and the creator.

Absolutely, this message doesn't just apply to visual art. Modern buildings, suburbs, clothing etc is so "ugly" and utilitarian compared to past ages because, as a society, we are denying this truth about ourselves.

Thank you for this reminder! I needed to read these words to help me get back to what has driven me all along. It’s our reason of existence as artists. Too often we are pulled away from it trying to survive. I’m ready to get back to thriving again. How about you?!
