I built FASO upon a far different idea.
When you activate your FASO artist website, you do not merely get access to our software (though our software is finely-tuned for the needs of artists adding art is as easy as posting to Instagram). When you join FASO, you become a member of something bigger.
You become a member of The FASO Artist Society, a professional artist organization created to help artists develop their work, strengthen their careers, earn recognition, and reach the people who care about human-made art.
The FASO Artist Society’s mission is to restore beauty to its rightful place in human life and to help ignite a new renaissance of human creativity through art.
The FASO Artist Society wishes to awaken people from distraction and mindless consumption by reintroducing them to the liberating power of art.
And membership in the Society is included with each and every active FASO website.
At FASO, your website, and our art marketing system, are only part of what you receive. Our exhibitions are not simply online contests designed to collect entries. The online FASO Exhibitions are serious opportunities for artists to have their work selected, recognized, promoted, and placed before the FASO collector audience. Artists whose work is juried may receive a Selected for Exhibition distinction, and become eligible for judged awards. This is useful for artists in building a visible record of achievement over time. These exhibitions currently award more than $35,000 in cash & service awards every month. We know several collectors who have built significant portions of their collections with art they’ve discovered in FASO Exhibitions.
The FASO Artist Society also gives artists an integrated place to learn from one another. Through The Artist Circle, members discuss the practical realities of building an art career, they receive feedback, they learn how to improve their marketing, and many participate in critiques. It is a private place where you are able to speak with people who understand both the creative and commercial sides of the artistic path. We also bring in successful professional artists every month for live webinars where FASO members can ask questions and learn what works directly from today’s working artists.
We created The Artist Circle because the artist’s life can be solitary. You spend long hours in the studio struggling to bring something inspiring into the world, only to emerge and discover that the world expects you to also become a professional marketer, photographer, salesperson, bookkeeper, web designer, and “content creator.”
I don’t believe you should not have to navigate all of that alone.
