We’ll Introduce Your Art to 60,000+ Art Lovers
Your new website should not begin in an empty room

❤️ Please click the Like button—the little heart icon at the top and bottom—if you believe we should showcase new artists’ works’ to our collectors. Even if you don’t join FASO, your click helps more artists discover a better way to share their work—and helps us bring more human-made art into the lives of those who need it.
Most artist website companies give you a set of tools and leave you standing alone at the edge of an empty field.
They may help you build the website, but finding people to visit your site it is still your problem. That’s because most website companies think of themselves as tech companies.
FASO is different. We are an art company.
Here’s how we help you get started as soon as your website is ready:
When you build, activate, and launch your new FASO artist website, we’ll introduce your work to more than 60,000 art lovers and collectors through our New Member Showcase newsletter in FASO Collector.
This is how we welcome you into the FASO Artist Society—by helping you open the first door between your new website and some of the people it was built to reach.
Your artist website should not merely exist in a bubble that nobody ever enters. But, sadly, that is the case for many of them. As far as I know, our competitors don’t do anything for you. Squarespace and Wix certainly don’t. And the biggest lie about websites has always been “if you build it, they will come.” That is simply not true. They won’t come unless you go get them. The internet did nothing to magically eliminate the need to market yourself.
Yet, your website should be seen. It should help someone discover a work of art they didn’t know they needed. It should give you a place—and a marketing system—to present your work in a way that causes interested people to pause, look closely, learn your story, join your mailing list, and return and express interest when the right work appears.
People don’t generally collect work immediately upon discovering an artist—that’s why you need a system. I once followed up with a prospective client for three years before he went on to become a regular buyer from my gallery. If you aren’t selling, I can almost guarantee you’re not follow up enough.
Someone may find your art interesting, but may not come back until months later after it has haunted their memory. No honest company can promise that everyone who sees your art will become a collector, but exposure to art lovers does matter. Planting seeds matters. Obviously, the “right person” cannot respond to work that they have never seen. That’s what we try to do: is help you plant seeds.
Our New Member Showcase completes the onboarding track of a new FASO artist by showing your hard work to our main collector newsletter. First, you build an artist website that is unusually easy to maintain. Then you use FASO’s built-in marketing tools to remain connected with the people who care about your work. When you activate your website, you become a member of the FASO Artist Society. And, finally, when you launch, we help introduce your work to an audience of more than 60,000 art lovers and collectors.
That is a very different proposition from simply “renting space on the internet.”
Your art begins as something deeply personal. We know that. And we care about that. You give it your attention, your discipline, your failures, your successes, your discoveries, and much of your life.
Once the work exists, however, it must journey out into the larger world where it must be seen. I used to call our gallery sales process “matchmaking.” Each work must find the human being for whom it carries some particular meaning. That is not easy. But it is possible, and we help in the ways we are able.
Selling your art is not selling out. A proper art sale is a reciprocal gift: one human being saying to another, “This moved me. I want to live with it, and I want to support the person who made it.”
FASO exists to help that exchange happen.
Once you join FASO, you only need to add ten artworks, update your bio, and activate your account. Then you become eligible for inclusion in our New Member Showcase.
And adding ten artworks to FASO (unlike “page builders”) is a piece of cake. Pick your ten strongest artworks, give them a professional home, and then let us help you welcome people into your new “gallery.”
We look forward to having you as a member.

If our philosophy resonates with you, please join us. This is about more than just where you host your website. In a world of growing AI, this is about joining with others who wish to protect the ecosystem of human artists. It’s about working with people who view the importance of human art the same way you do. If we don’t band together in this time, we risk losing something important to the all-consuming beast of the algorithm.

I have a good website through FASO--although I've never sold anything through it, it does act as an excellent reference when someone asks "What kind of art do you do?"
I’m out of the country until the end of this month. When I come back I will upload more paintings!!
I love the website you created for me.
